This king was profoundly influenced by Sri Ramanujacharya who sought refuge in his kingdom after fleeing from the Chola king who was keen on suppressing the followers of Vishnu (to give prominence to Shiva). More importantly, it was here in Nuggehalli, along with four other villages, the first of the settlement of the Sri Vaishnava Brahmins migrating from the Chola ruled regions to Mysore (Karnataka) state happened Thus the antiquity of the place was established. Sometime around this period the temples including one dedicated to Lord Shiva came up at Nuggehalli. Over several years (to be precise centuries), the Sri Vaishnavas migrated to various places & settled mostly in Karnataka. This led to a situation where taking care of the temple, performing poojas & conducting the annual car festival became a problem leading to skipping of certain day to day rituals.<\/p>\n
Thus, we being the followers of Vishnu, our forefathers thought it to be fit to form a Samithi to take care of the temples at Nuggehalli. The three temples Viz. Sri Lakshmi Narasimha, Srinivasa temples at Nuggehalli & Keshava temple in Hebbalu were brought into the preview of the Samithi. The main Purpose was to organize & promote proper celebrations of all the sevas at these temples & to augment finance to conduct the daily rituals apart from ratotsava & to wholeheartedly support the Dharmadarshi committee in this regard.” font_container=”tag:h6|font_size:16px|text_align:left|line_height:36px” google_fonts=”font_family:Montserrat%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Membership” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:40px|text_align:left|line_height:55px” google_fonts=”font_family:Montserrat%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_custom_heading text=”The membership fee is INR 500\/- until further amendment.
